Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling based martial art that emphasis’s taking an opponent to the ground and then controlling and resisting them in ways that force them to submit. Not only is BJJ a fantastic form of physical training, it also builds self defense, confidence, concentration, coordination and discipline.
Dubbo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was established in 2015 as a Team Perosh affiliated club. Head Coach, Anthony Perosh is a UFC light heavyweight veteran and 4th degree BJJ Black Belt. Gradings and seminars are held every six months with Head Coach, Anthony Perosh in attendance.
Coach Jerryn took over the club in April 2018 from Coach Simon with a vision to continue to grow the club by introducing womens only and kids Jiu Jitsu classes.
The club has a strong competition team who have obtained great results in local, state and national competitions and has built a cohesive training unit which focuses on improving the whole squad.
Coach Jerryn plans to use the momentum from the clubs past successes to continue to grow and develop the competition team and the club as a whole.
